Built by a pool guy.
Run like one.
Pete Saldana has been cleaning Long Island pools since '95. He started Anchor Bay in 2008 and hasn't stopped since.
Pete started with a truck and 12 accounts.
In 2008, Pete Saldana left a commercial pool company where he'd been a field tech for five years. He bought a truck, printed some cards, and knocked on doors in Sayville, Bayport, and Bohemia. Twelve clients that first year. Four hundred-plus now.
The pitch was simple: same tech every week, honest about what actually needs to be done, and you can call Pete directly if something goes sideways. That hasn't changed. The guys he brought on — Danny and Chris — have been with him 11 and 7 years. No turnover, no stranger in your backyard on week three.
We're not the biggest pool company on Long Island. Intentionally. We want to be the one you'd recommend to your neighbor without thinking twice.
Three people. That's intentional.
Adding a fourth tech means adding a stranger to your backyard. The clients we have today chose us knowing who'd be showing up. We're not changing that.
A few things we take seriously.
Honest assessments
If your equipment doesn't need to be replaced, we won't tell you it does. We'll show you what's wrong and what it will cost to fix it. The decision is always yours.
Same tech, same day
You get Danny or Chris (or Pete) — not a different crew every week. Your tech learns your pool's quirks, which means problems get caught earlier.
We document everything
After every service visit you get a report: what we tested, what we adjusted, what we noticed. No mysteries about what happened at your pool.
No upselling
We charge for weekly service. We charge for openings and closings. When equipment needs repair we quote it before touching anything. That's it.
We guarantee the water
If your water isn't swim-ready after a service visit, we come back at no charge. We don't walk away from a cloudy pool and say "it might clear up."
We pick up the phone
Call Pete directly. If we don't answer, we call back same day. No answering service, no ticket system, no waiting until Monday morning.
From people who've been with us for years.
“Pete has been doing our pool for 9 years. I've never had to think about it once — it's always perfect when we get home on Fridays. That's worth everything.”
“Heater went out two days before our Memorial Day party. Pete had a tech here next morning and it was fixed before lunch. I was amazed.”
“We added a spa last summer and they handle both on the same visit. The water is always dialed in. No more guessing at the pool store.”
