Website redesign on Long Island, priced up front.
A website redesign with Garbacki Digital costs $500 setup + $80/month. The $500 setup covers a full rebuild of a typical small-business site of about six pages. Bigger sites are quoted before I start. No contract, and you own the new site.
SEO takes months. I don't promise rankings or leads.
When a redesign is worth doing
It looks wrong on a phone
Text is tiny, buttons are hard to tap, or you have to pinch and zoom. Most local searches happen on a phone.
It loads slowly
If visitors wait several seconds, many leave before they see what you do.
No one can tell what you do or where
Your services and the towns you serve should be clear within a few seconds of landing.
You can't change it
If a simple edit means chasing a former designer or fighting a builder, the site isn't working for you.
It's out of date or at risk
Old WordPress themes and plugins can be a security risk, and an old look costs trust.
It doesn't bring in calls
No clear phone number, no contact form, and nothing telling you which pages get used.
A new coat of paint, or a new foundation?
A redesign in the narrow sense changes how a site looks and keeps what's underneath. That works when the site is fast, easy to edit and well organized, and only the look is dated.
A rebuild replaces the site itself. That is usually the better choice when the site is slow, built on a template or plugin stack you can't maintain, or locked into a builder. It is what the plan covers: a full rebuild, with your content and structure carried over where they're good.
If your current site only needs small fixes, I'll tell you that rather than sell you a rebuild.
What happens to what you already have
Your domain
You keep it. It stays registered to you, and I point it at the new site.
Your email
You keep it. I leave your email settings alone so nothing stops mid-move.
Your content
Logan moves your text, photos and key pages over and improves what needs it. You approve it before it goes live.
Your search presence
Where I can, I keep your important page addresses working, and I help set up your Google Business Profile and Bing Places listing once. SEO takes months.
Moving off a site builder, honestly
Some builders lock your content in. Wix and Squarespace don't give you a clean export of a finished site, so I rebuild your pages rather than export them. I copy your text and photos over by hand and rebuild the layout in a new site that you own.
Old WordPress sites are different: the content is usually reachable, but outdated themes and plugins are often what's slowing the site or putting it at risk, so those get replaced too.
If your domain is registered through the builder, it can usually be transferred out or pointed at the new site. Keep your old plan running until the new site is live.
Website redesign questions
How much does a website redesign cost?
$500 setup + $80/month. The setup covers a full rebuild of a typical small-business site of about 6 pages. No contract. You own your site. Bigger sites are quoted.
How long does a redesign take?
Your new site is live about a week after your content arrives. If you don't have everything written, I'll help you work out what to send.
Will I lose my domain, email or Google listing?
No. You keep your domain and your email. I point the domain at the new site and leave your email settings alone. I also keep your important page addresses working where I can, and help set up your Google Business Profile and Bing Places listing one time.
Can you move my Wix or Squarespace site?
I rebuild it. Some site builders lock your content in, so there is no clean export. I move your text, photos and structure over by hand into a new site that you own.
Will a redesign get me more calls?
A clearer, faster, mobile-friendly site gives visitors a better chance to call. I can't promise rankings or leads, and SEO takes months.
Not sure if you need a redesign?
Send me your current site and I'll say honestly whether it needs a rebuild or just a few fixes.
