Meet the family

The people who will care for your pet.

Four people who genuinely like animals, genuinely like their work, and have spent years building the kind of practice that keeps clients coming back.

Dr. Elena Voss, DVM
Here since day one

Dr. Elena Voss, DVM

Lead Veterinarian · Owner

Dr. Voss founded Harborlight in 2012 after a decade in mixed-animal practice in upstate New York. She grew up in Port Washington and wanted to build the kind of clinic she wished her own childhood pets had access to — unhurried, honest, and genuinely invested in each patient. Her clinical focus is internal medicine and senior pet care. Outside of work, she has two dogs (Peach and Juniper) and an extremely opinionated cat named Walter.

Dr. Mei Lin, DVM
With us since 2018

Dr. Mei Lin, DVM

Associate Veterinarian

Dr. Lin joined Harborlight in 2018 after completing a rotating internship at a large referral hospital on Long Island. She brings a strong background in feline medicine and soft-tissue surgery. Clients who have anxious cats specifically request her — she has a patience and a technique in the exam room that makes a visible difference. She shares her apartment in Manhasset with two rescue cats, neither of whom would ever willingly visit a vet.

Maya Okafor, RVT
With us since 2014

Maya Okafor, RVT

Registered Veterinary Technician

Maya has been with Harborlight since 2014 and is the first person most patients meet. She has a talent for calming animals that resist handling — and for finding the one treat that even a picky dog can't refuse. She runs our dental program and handles most of the in-house lab work. She is also the person most likely to text you a photo of your pet being cute in recovery.

Daniel Park
With us since 2020

Daniel Park

Practice Manager

Daniel keeps everything running — scheduling, client communication, billing, and the dozens of things that make a veterinary practice work without anyone noticing. He joined us in 2020 from a human medicine background and has made a real difference in how accessible and responsive the practice feels. He's also our unofficial IT department and the reason the phones never go to voicemail during business hours.
